Cassie

Acacia farnesiana
This is a small tree whose origins appear uncertain but it is said to be a native of San Domingo. It became naturalised in Europe in the Farnesian Gardens of Rome about 1625. Linnoeus made reference to the tree which he described as a Mimosa farnesiana and Willdenow (1805) placed his genus - Acacia.

Varieties
There are several species of acacia that yield the typical cassie blossom odour. In South West Africa they are called the camel tree and in Southern France the blooms are referred to as pompoms.

Perfume
The perfume resembles a perfectly blended combination of orange blossom and violet with a mere hint of cumin. This sweet smelling oil is often used by hairdressers as it will keep hair dark and oily.
Cassie note - floral, violet, orris root, mignonette

Vibrational energetics
Cassie helps with self esteem issues, lack of confidence, childhood issues. It affects the solar plexus and sacral chakras and the emotional bodies. When you touch these flowers you are touching violet notes.
