As the botanical name implies, Juniperus virginiana is not a
true cedar but rather it belongs to the genus Juniper. There
also exists another cultivar of this species; J. virginiana
var. silicicola which is commonly known as the Southern red
cedar and has a more broadly conical to rounded habit. |
